Past exam papers help you:
Understand the exam pattern, question types, and marking scheme
Get a feel for the important topics and recurring questions
Practice under timed conditions and evaluate your performance
Build confidence and reduce surprises
Here’s how students typically retrieve older exam papers from GITAM:
GITAM’s Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) hosts a Digital Repository (sometimes called “KRC Digital Space”) where old question papers are archived. digitalrepository.gitam.edu+2library.gitam.edu+2
Go to digitalrepository.gitam.edu and log in (usually using your GITAM credentials). digitalrepository.gitam.edu
Within that repository, look for a section such as “Old / Previous Question Papers” or “Examination Archives.” library.gitam.edu+3Getmyuni+3library.gitam.edu+3
On the GITAM Library (KRC) official website, there’s often a menu or navigation link labelled “Old Question Papers” or “Previous Year Question Papers.” library.gitam.edu+1
Click that link. The page will usually show a set of dropdown filters or options:
Campus / College (Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Bangalore, etc.) Getmyuni
Degree (UG, PG, Diploma, etc.) Getmyuni+2cdl.gitam.edu+2
Department / Branch / Subject Getmyuni+1
Year / Semester / Academic Year Getmyuni+2library.gitam.edu+2
After selecting the appropriate filters, the relevant question paper PDFs show up as links, which you can click to view or download. Getmyuni+2cdl.gitam.edu+2
If your program is through GITAM’s distance learning (CDL), there’s a dedicated section for Previous Question Papers. cdl.gitam.edu
In the CDL page (Paper.aspx), pick Degree (UG/PG), Branch, Year / Semester, and Academic Year via dropdowns. cdl.gitam.edu
Click “Submit” or “Search,” and downloadable links to PDF papers appear. cdl.gitam.edu
Sometimes older or departmental papers might not be available on the official portals. In that case, try websites like:
GetMyUni (which shows links via library → old question papers) Getmyuni
Padhle (organises subject-wise GITAM past papers in PDF) padhle.com
FreshersNow / Entrance Exam pages (mirror PDF collections for GITAM GAT / UGTP) Entrance Exams by FreshersNow
Career360 (for sample & past GITAM GAT papers) Careers360 Engineering+1
Be careful to check whether a PDF is truly original (check watermark, headers, etc.).
Start with recent 5 years — the latest papers are more aligned with current syllabi and trends.
Filter intelligently — always pick correct campus, branch, year/semester so that the paper matches your course structure.
Use high-speed connection — PDFs tend to be large, so a stable internet helps.
Check for answer keys / solutions — some papers include keys; if not, try contacting faculty or student groups.
Archive your collection — maintain a folder by course/subject/year so you can reuse later.
Solve under exam conditions — time yourself and simulate real test conditions.
